Counted down for 2010 in Brizzy, Celebrated CNY in Brizzy... back to Malaysia, started working, celebrated birthday, Christmas and now another countdown for a New Year ahead in Malaysia.
Time flies is all I can say.
I gained and lost a lot this year.
The decision to come back is a lost in many ways. I lost the "homey", "domesticated" Ida that wants a simple, easy going life with work life balance.
Yet in a way, by coming back I gained new friendships, new experiences, found the old me that wants a career and make something out of myself. There is no work life balance here, but more of a busy lifestyle that requires constant energy.
Who knows if I gained more or loose more this year? Life is not a matter of loosing or gaining, it is the experiences that comes with it.
I had a lot of whole new experiences this year, and I hope I will have more in years to come! :)
Christmas is around the corner and as usual there will be a Christmas wishlist of things I hope to pamper myself with... Last year's Christmas present to self was the experiential South Island trip that cost me a bomb. Well, this year's Christmas present to self is definitely way cheaper than that! :p
MUST HAVE buys for myself this "Christmas"...
Coffee Tumbler for a new work year and an Iphone to replace my Nokia that has been giving me problems for sometime... :) Fingers crossed waiting patiently for my Iphone to arrive!!
Next necessary buy: A GPS for a noob on KL roads... Let's hope the TomTom on Iphone is good enough and I can do without this buy!!! :)
And as for my Fav Coach bags... as usual it is just a wish on the wishlist and never a reality. Even then, just browsing around the Coach Website seeing those fabulous bags is a pleasure itself!!
One fine day it will be one of the to-buy items on my self pampering Christmas wish list!! :)
Cambodia... such a poor stricken country, yet a hidden gem with gorgeous sceneries and amazing history. Seriously I can hardly imagine myself living in countries like that, and I am darn lucky to be staying here in Malaysia. :)
Though poor in terms of the spending power of its people. It is rich with Culture, Folktales, and most of all historical artifact that give prove to Cambodia in being one of the earliest civilization that came up with such amazing creations. It is an awe that those amazing architectural structures and carvings can be done without the help of modern technology and machineries - no wonder it is one of the 7 wonders of the world...
... And thank god I had a great tour guide that gave me a truly local experience in Cambodian food!
