To me, cooking is therapeutic.
The joy of starting from scratch with raw ingredients, and making it into something that is eatable and liked by all can easily fill me with joy! The stress-ness that came from other issues in life, seemed to disappear when something nice is cooking in the kitchen! :)
The process itself, though at times is time consuming and tiring. The trial and error of making something, numerous fails of one single dish, but at the end of the day, all it takes is just one smile and one sentence of someone saying "I love it", and all the hard work is just worth it.
I guess this applies for any other thing? People tend to see things based on monetary value. But at the end of the day, isn't the appreciation of others on your hard work better than anything else in the world?
Maybe it's just me :)

Sometimes we see things and life as being complicated. But maybe we should take a step back, relax and live life simple.
Sometimes we look at the rain and grumble at our misfortunes and untimely fate. But maybe we should search for the rainbow instead, seeing the bright sides of life beyond the occasional misfortunes.
Sometimes we see failure as harsh and unforgivable. But maybe we should see it as opportunities for improvements?
Many times, moving slowly is not a sin, being slow is not a sin. But standing still and not moving when facing a cross road is a sin.
We tend to ignore and forget the simple and beautiful things in life. Overlooking its splendor seeing only the unpleasant side of life. A blog that just gave me a jot. To remember simplicity, to remember happiness and other beautiful things that we tend to forget. Maybe at the end of the day, that is what life is all about! :) Labels: Life

16 days straight of work... a couple more to go before I end my crazy weekend "assignment" writing days! Baby Ida is very tired and sleepy... Hang on there! Just a couple more days before it is over!
Haiz.... who asked me to have such a slow brain that is not meant to do heavy analytical skills... Hence the extra hours needed on my reports. :(
Can't wait to go Sing K, chit chat and hang out with friends without the need to think about work at all! :)
And I can't wait for my long weekend end of this month!

Was in Singapore last week for Debbie's and Billy's wedding.
All I could say, of all the people I know who are in a relationship or married, they are the sweetest couple I have ever met. 11 years in a relationship, 2 years of Long distance when Deb's in Brisbane, half a year when she was in Ireland and still the relationship is as strong as they just started dating.
It definitely takes a lot of effort to keep a relationship going strong. Looking at a table full of momentos of the happy couple. Many are not expensive presents, but handmade self designed presents filled with love and care. Through these "presents" I can see the how strong the love they felt for each other. :)
Even when we were in Brisbane, all I hear Deb's mention was forever Billy. Billy and I did this... Billy and I did that... and at last she can now say Billy and I are married!
To Debbie and Billy... Hope you guys have a happy marriage life ahead. God Bless. :)
