I was supposed to go Putrajaya for the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta and ended up being FFK-ed. But that's not what I'm going to talk about today.
So instead of going up to Putrajaya, I went down to KL to kidnap the workaholic Paolo to dinner at Hajime, Jalan Ampang.
It is supposed to be one of the best Japanese food around KL. But apparently it is not! I have to admit, the ambiance, the lighting and the seating area is just great. However, the food and the service... SUCKS big time.
We gave them the liberty of choosing the best food for us with a budget of RM80 p/p, and it ended up being the worst and the most expensive/overpriced Japanese food I've ever eaten. Even the Hanaichi sushi bar is better and more worth it!
Giving the fact that it is the chef that chose what we had for the night, at least there should be a food introductory when food is served! But there was no introduction whatsoever and we did not even know what we were having!
The food "looks" nice. But it's only the looks. The Sashimi is not THAT fresh; The cod fish is OVERCOOKED; there's supposedly seafood in the pumpkin thingy, but I did not bite onto any seafood; I have no complains for the sushi; and the Mayo on the scallop dish tasted SUPER weird; oh and by the way, there's a garden salad that tasted like yee sang (@____@)".
Mind you, the whole meal cost RM240++ for three people and the food above is shared by all three people! Fuckers! I'm not complaining because I am cheapskate and I think I've been over charged. But the thing is, to pay RM80 p/p for that kind/amount of food is so so not worth it! I'd rather pay RM100++ p/p for a real good Japanese meal in KL Hilton!
Terrible service + awful food + super overpriced = Hajime.
Gosh. I felt like a "water fish" (sui yu) now that I start to "reminisce" what I had last night! (@____@)"
