Went to Tiger Translate, NZ last Friday. It was a pretty cool event, pretty underground, and something very different. Tiger Translate is a global event concept that evolves around the fusion of the East meets West culture through music, art and multi-media. And for the first time in three years, Tiger Translate NZ decides to open its doors to the public! :)
The theme of the event is 'Light', which features an exhibition of lanterns by street, graphic design, tattoo, sculptural and multi-media artists. It also features a feast of motion graphics that filled Zen Bar with blended images and video taken from Tiger Beer's collection of Translate inspired images.
The set up for Fu & Zen Bar is made up of visual lighting... Thus, the lack of pictures of the artwork and site deco... :(
The lanterns are pretty amazing, with different creative designs on each side. Some of the lanterns focuses on visual lightings with the colours of the lights changing every few mins or so...

The site deco is even more amazing! Utilising multi-media motion graphics, the decoration is forever changing the whole night... And all the graphics are according to the "Tiger" theme.

And now... Ida's picture session in Tiger Translate! :p

Cindy and me!

Cindy, Maxine and me...

Us girls with Shaun... This is such a S.M.A.L.L. world! Cindy actually knows Shaun and Maxine!
Shaun is Uncle Poh's son, while Cindy knows Maxine because Maxine and Diane are family friends! SWT...

With some girls we met in the event...

I enjoyed the event pretty much, it was so different from those events I have attended in the pass... And some of the underground bands playing that night is not too bad... surprisingly :p
